I remember watching Julia on PBS with my mother. That distinct voice. Those passionate inflections, as she reminded you of how precious butter is to a chicken. Looking forward to learning a few things about the French kitchen and about life through her lens before she passed in 2004. Thankful for the joy she richly imparted to others.

My Life in France by Julia Child (with Alex Prud'homme) is on my bedside this month! Since I just viewed Julie & Julia for the 2nd time, I decided to pull this out of a pile to be read. I just started the Introduction and...this is something to savor. It's good.
