Walking the Streets of Santa Barbara

We'd been planning this trip for a long time.  What was supposed to be a 4 hour drive ended up being 6+ hours due to exiting traffic out of Vegas.  But alas, we arrived at the Pacific and it was glorious.

We stayed along the coastline at the Hyatt Centric, East Cabrillo Blvd.  Breakfast at The Shop Cafe on Milpas - best shrimp & grits I've tasted yet, and ventured out to the County Courthouse on Anacapa Street with its beautiful, Spanish Colonial Revival style.  Stopped for a little dessert at the Public Market on West Victoria and enjoyed honey-lavender ice cream drizzled in honey fudge sauce.  Did a lot of walking.  An early dinner reservation followed at Jane's on State St with the most romantic interiors.

We couldn't get enough of the scenery in SB, bougainvillea vines everywhere...in that delightful pinkish-orange tone.  And the Spanish Colonial architecture that respectfully establishes the Santa Barbara landscape...endless beauty.  'Til we see you again ❤.
